Brief Biography
I received my Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering with a focus on robotics and control from Michigan State University in 2023 and degrees from Auburn University (Bachelors of Electrical Engineering) and Berea College (Bachelor of Arts for Applied Math and Sciences) in 2017. I have experience designing, building, and programming underwater and other aquatic robots. In addition, I have studied and applied advanced control theory, path planning, and machine learning for some of the robotic platforms I have worked on. Currently, my main interest is in mobile robotics and algorithms which will make them useful tools in society. I hope to work in industry or a research-focused institution and apply my skills in robotics and control while continuing to design, build, and program robots that can positively impact society and advance my knowledge in robotics.
Outside of academics, my interests include playing sports, playing guitar, music in general, traveling, tasting food from different cultures, financial investments, sustainable energy generation, energy storage, and outdoor adventures.
